LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said: "I will live and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people." (2 Corinthians 6:16)

What’s your reaction when you walk into a church building that is dirty and in need of basic maintenance; the paint is flaking off the walls, the doors are banged up and the carpet is worn out? You might think, “don’t they care about the building God gave them? “Don’t they understand what kind of message it sends to non-believers?” And you’d be right. Everything we have is a gift from God and we are care takers of that gift. God wants us to use the gift for his glory; he wants it to be an example to the world of his love and graciousness.

Most of us do try and take care of the things God has given us and many of us do try to use our gifts to reflect God’s love to the world, but what about your body? How do you take care of it? Your life is a gift; every breath you get is a gift of life everyday. Does the condition of your body, and what you put into it, reflect someone who is honoring God by taking care of their gifts? Or does it reflect that church building we talked about earlier?

Your body is the home of both your spirit and the Holy Spirit. When the world looks at you do they see someone, based on how you take care of yourself, who loves God and wants to honor God with everything they have? Or do they look at you and think, “Why do they talk about others who don’t live like them when they don’t even take care of themselves.”

What you do, what you say, what you eat, and the condition you keep yourself in physically is a witness to the world. This year make a commitment to make your body a fit dwelling place for the Holy Spirit and a witness to the world that you love God enough to take proper care of the body He gave you.

Live it Fierce
