| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
“All
I ask is, that you stand up for the beliefs that you
so passionately speak of and for those, that I know
are dear to your heart” – the Patriot
Jesus spoke to the people
of his day in stories/parables to convey a spiritual
concept or idea. Many times our world gives us our own “parables”.
Today’s thought is one such time.
It struck me yesterday, while watching this movie clip
for the Patriot that for us many times this is what God
is saying to us. He knows the beliefs we have, He hears
how we talk about them with other Christians, He knows
what is written on our hearts and He wants us to be willing
to stand up for those beliefs when the opportunities
to do so come. So many times we shrink back at work or
school when the conversation that we are a part of opens
itself to spiritual interjection. We don’t want
to “rock the boat” as it were, but look at
Jesus’ life (the life we are to emulate). Did He
play it “safe” or did He take risks to stand
up for His beliefs and God? That is all He asks of us.
No, it won’t be easy, but Jesus never said it would
be. He has only promised that it will be worth it.
So the question is, will you stand up for what you believe
and be the person God wants and designed you to be? What
are you waiting for?
