| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
Any one who
does not take up his cross and follow where I lead
is not worthy of me. To save your life is to lose it,
and to lose your life for my sake is to save it. (Matthew
10:38-39)
You have heard that you are saved
by grace, through Jesus Christ, a free gift from God.
It is true there is no earthly task, no amount of money
that will gain you forgiveness and make you right with
God. That only comes by accepting the sacrifice that
Jesus made, on your behalf, on the cross. But Jesus
made it clear, in Matthew, that if you are going to
be one of His followers - be worthy of Him - you must
lose your life, die to self, and become the servant
of God and of others.
Being a Christian is more than just saying you accept
the work Jesus did on the cross, it is living your life
for Him and not yourself. It means living to serve others,
living your life like Jesus lived His, seeing others
through Gods eyes, and being willing to do whatever
it take to show them the love of God. It's also living
your life in a manner that puts others' needs before
your own; living a selfless life. To do this means you
sacrifice your desires, and wants to the will of God.
It costs you everything: your life is no longer yours
- it's God's.
So while grace is a free gift from God, being a follower
will cost you your life. Is it worth it? Try living
your life the way Jesus lived His and find out.
Live it Fierce
