| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
God put the
world square with himself through the Messiah, giving
the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of
sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone
what he is doing. We're Christ's representatives. God
uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences
and enter into God's work of making things right between
them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become
friends with God; he's already a friend with you.
(2
Corinthians 5:19-20 - The Message)
How many of us are fighting the wrong
battle? We fight against those we feel have wronged
us. We fight against those we feel are living in sin.
We are quick to point out to the world where they are
going wrong, but is that what God wants us to do? Is
that what Jesus did? Did he point out to the Roman solders
their wrongdoings? What about the local farmers, cobblers,
and other craftsmen of his day? It seems to me the only
people he pointed to and talked about their wrong actions
were the religious people/leaders of His day. He did
not fight the people of His day; He fought against the
forces that were deceiving them and holding them captive,
holding them back from living the life God had intended.
The people of this world are not our enemy; the forces
that deceive them and cause them to say there is no
God, they are the enemy. God has already completed all
that was needed to make things right between Him and
the world. His side of the ledger is balanced. God wants
us to, “persuade men and women to drop their differences
and enter into God's work of making things right between
them.”
Yes there is a battle so let’s make sure that
we are fighting the right battle and the right enemy.
