| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
...I can't
tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open,
spacious life. We didn't fence you in. The smallness
you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren't small,
but you're living them in a small way. I'm speaking
as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open
up your lives. Live openly and expansively!
(2 Corinthians
6:11–13, the Message)
I'm sure most of you have seen the
bumper-sticker that says, “God don’t make
junk”. God doesn’t create us to live small,
tight, confined lives either. He came to give us life
and life more abundantly. That does not mean more money
or things; it means a life full of opportunity, choices,
chances for risk and faith, and adventure.
We all find ourselves at times asking, “is this
all there is”? There just has to be something
more. We find ourselves there because we have yet to
embrace the “wide-open, spacious life”,
the life of freedom, that Jesus promised. He has a great
life for us, a life in personal relationship with Him.
He wants us to get to know Him intimately, to trust
Him unconditionally. When we do we will find that we
are not living our lives by rule, but by love; love
for our Father, our Friend, our Lover. We won’t
have to worry about the “dos and don’ts” because
the motivation for our actions will be love, not selfishness.
We live small lives because it is comfortable, controllable
(by us we think), and familiar. But that’s not
what we were made for; we were made to live life as
an adventure by faith with God.
Step out of your comfort zone and start to live the
life God created you for with Him.
Live it Fierce
