| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
Distress
that drives us to God does that. It turns us around.
It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret
that kind of pain. But those who let distress drive
them away from God are full of regrets; end up on a
deathbed of regrets. (2 Corinthians 7:10)
Have you ever had distress in your
life? Have you ever wondered why? What has happened
to you in the past, has it moved you closer to or driven
you farther away from God?
There are many things that cause distress in our lives:
poor choices on our part, attacks of the enemy, and
God‘s loving discipline. God allows all of these
to happen to bring us closer to Him. A closer and more
intimate personal relationship - becoming more like
Christ is the goal - but whether or not that goal is
realized is not up to God. Did you catch that? “But
those who let distress...”. It is not the distress;
it’s self that drives people from God. It is their
response to it; it’s their choice how they will
respond to it. And what is the result of their choice?
Regrets, a life full of regrets.
Our lives will have trials, temptations and difficult
times. Even sad, hard times, and distressful times.
They are there to teach and to cause us to move closer
towards God and to become more like Him each day. Don’t
let them drive you away from God and make you bitter
and full of regret. Press into God; allow them to drive
you to God into a deeper, more passionate relationship
with God. That is God’s ultimate desire for your
life.
Live it Fierce
