| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
Answer this
question: Does the God who lavishly provides you with
his own presence, his Holy Spirit, working things in
your lives you could never do for yourselves, does
he do these things because of your strenuous moral
striving or because you trust him to do them in you?
Don't these things happen among you just as they happened
with Abraham? He believed God, and that act of belief
was turned into a life that was right with God.
(Galatians 3:5-6, the Message).
What sin or bad choice are you trying
make up for? How many of the activities that you engage
in are an attempt to “show” God that you
are sorry and have changed?
God has never and will never look at the outside appearance.
He has always been concerned with one thing only - your
heart. You do not have to prove to Him your sorrow and
regret over your sin, which is a human thing. He knows
your heart and He knows whether you are truly sorry
or not and no amount of “religious” activity
will blind him to the truth of your heart.
Live your life out of love for God not out of trying
to convince God of your righteousness. With God you
are not righteous by your own accord; any righteousness
that you have is that which is given you by God through
Christ. So stop putting yourself and those around you
through this striving to prove your morality. Love God
- passionately love - and live your life based on that
love He has for and you have for Him. If you love others
as He has loved you then you won't have to worry about
living the moral high road. Living a life of love fulfills
all of the requirements of law.
