| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH
DAILY INSPIRATION |
The person
who lives in right relationship with God does it by
embracing what God arranges for him. Doing things for
God is the opposite of entering into what God does
for you. Habakkuk had it right: "The person, who
believes God, is set right by God—and that's the real
life." Rule-keeping does not naturally evolve
into living by faith, but only perpetuates itself in
more and more rule-keeping, a fact observed in Scripture: "The
one who does these things, rule-keeping, continues
to live by them."
Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life
by absorbing it completely into himself. (Galatians 3:11-
13, the Message)
We are called to live by Faith (risk).
Living by faith, believing God, not just believing in
God (even Satan and his followers do that). It is like
performing a high–wire act without a net; it’s
not safe or easy, at least as the world defines it.
Living
by rules and regulations on the other hand is safe and
easy. It only requires adherence to a set of routines
like that of an athlete. While it may be physical and
mental work it does not require the same kind of emotional
involvement that having an intimate personal relationship
with someone does. We all are willing to learn the rules
and then try to live by them, but many of us have trouble
when it comes to really embracing truly intimate personal
relationships. Psychologists and counselors are not
kept in business by people trying to keeps rules; they
are kept in business by those having great difficulty
with intimate personal relationships.
Living by faith means doing what God has called you
to do, what He has placed on your heart - the desire
of your heart, even when it makes no sense. It means
doing things that are bound to fail unless God intervenes.
It means following God when He says, “move” even
if you do not know where you are going (Remember Abraham?).
And to live by faith in God means you have to fully
trust in the goodness of God’s heart. You have
to trust Him completely. How do you do that? By getting
to know Him intimately. You see, living life by rules
does not reveal to you the desires of and the goodness
of God’s heart towards you and the whole reason
for your being here and being alive. The whole reason
for Christ’s coming to earth was to reveal to
us God’s heart and to have an intimate personal
relationship with you; not to bring more rules.
Yes it is not easy, but Jesus never said it would be
easy; he only said it would be worth it!
Live it Fierce
