| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
But when
the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce
this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Here there is no conflict with the law.
(Galatians 5:22-23, NLT)
Why are you tempted? Why do thoughts
or opportunities come into your lives distract you from
your relationship with God? Not all temptation is to
do evil; sometimes it may involve doing good things
but at the wrong time or things God did not ask you
to do.
All events, circumstances, and temptations that we face
come into our lives for one propose: to build our character.
Character development always involves choice, and temptation
and trials always provide that opportunity.
God wants us to grow to become more like His son Jesus,
and He used circumstances, events, and temptations to
shape and mold Jesus so He will also use these tools
to shape and mold us into His image.
Will you ever get to a point in your life where you
will not have struggles and temptations? No. As you
get closer to God Satan will step up his attack. Temptation
should be a sign to you that Satan hates you, not that
you are weak or un-godly. Jesus was constantly under
attack from Satan. Was He weak or un-godly; did He have
sin in His life?
So the next time you’re under attack don’t
get distressed or down on yourself but count yourself
in good company that the enemy finds you a threat and
worthy of attack and that your Heavenly Father is changing
you into His image.
Live it with Passion
