LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
Let’s leave the preschool finger-painting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ. The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on "salvation by self-help" and turning in trust toward God; baptismal instructions; laying on of hands; resurrection of the dead; eternal judgment. God helping us, we'll stay true to all that. But there's so much more. Let's get on with it! (Hebrews 6:1-3, the Message)

Do you believe in eternal judgment? Do you believe in the resurrection, coming back to life from the dead? Why do people still want to hold on to and argue over wrong teaching about baptism, submersion versus sprinkling? (The bible is very clear about this.) When was the last time you laid hands on someone and they were healed, raised from the dead, or cured of some disease?

For many of us these things would fall into the “advanced faith” category, but the writer of the letter to Hebrews is extremely clear that all of these things are basic underlying fundamentals of truth; child’s, no, baby's play of the faith. “The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on 'salvation by self-help' and turning in trust toward God; baptismal instructions; laying on of hands; resurrection of the dead; eternal judgment.” Yet for many of us we can’t even get there. Why do we look at the basics and struggle? As the author said there is so much more that God wants and has for us if we will just stop struggling over, arguing over, resisting acceptance of, the basic fundamentals of the faith, and get on with it. Stop trying to understand everything in your limited terms, stop trying to make everything fit into your idea of how things ought to be. Remember, God is the initiator of this relationship. He died so we could have a relationship with Him. He gets to define how this relationship will work, not us, and He has made it clear in His word.

So as it says in Corinthians 13:11, put away childish things and ways; embrace the infant truths of the faith; then get on with the real meat of the relationship God has and wants with you.

Live it with Passion
