| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
Yet a time
is coming and has now come when the true worshipers
will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they
are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John
4:23)
I have had worship defined to me
as, “Our natural response to God, to what He does
in our lives and for us.” But what if our view
of God, our only way in which we related to Him, is
from a point of respect and reverence, a point of honor,
the same kind we might show to the person who holds
the high office or respected position. Is that the kind
of worship God desires from us, distant and reserved?
Worship is the act of the abandoned heart adoring its
God. It is a union of our spirit with God’s spirit,
so close that we almost cannot tell where we end and
He begins. It is not simply showing up for church on
a weekend or at a mid-week meeting. Singing religious
songs is not enough either. What matters is the position
of your heart, the position of your soul. Is your open
and unfettered heart pouring out its love to and on
God, being one with Him? It is a matter of desire, your
desire. What/who do you deeply desire?
True worship (remember “worship the Father in
spirit and truth”) happens when from the deepest
part of our hearts we say to God, You are the One whom
I desire. There is nothing made by man or by You that
can or will ever completely satisfy my desires. Make
me one with You for You alone will suffice for me, Your
lover. For without You all life is vain and without
substance.
Worship is a lifestyle, a way of life. It affects everything
we do and how we live. It is how we convey to God that
we love and trust Him, by surrendering to Him, offering
and opening ourselves to Him with total abandon, by
becoming vulnerable to Him.
Live it with Passion
