| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
What Moses
and the prophets witnessed to all those years has happened.
The God-setting-things-right that we read about has
become Jesus—setting-things-right for us. And not
only for us, but for everyone who believes in him.
For there is no difference between us and them in this.
Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as
sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly
incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for
us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put
us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He
got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to
where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means
of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:21-24, the Message)
What was it that caused God to send Jesus? What did
He see in mankind that caused Him to be willing to send His son to die
for its sins? What did God see in you that caused Him to move heaven and
earth to try and win your heart?
God created us in His image, for relationship, an intimate,
personal lover relationship with Him and relationship
with others in our world. He knew that because of the
fall, the sin of Adam and Eve, that we were/are incapable
of living the glorious life that we were created for
on our own. He was willing to send His only son to move
heaven and earth because He desires relationship with
us; He wants to share love with us. He wants us to know
love, joy, peace, and oneness with Him, those are the
gifts.
He was willing to move heaven and earth to reach us,
because He sees in you the person He made you to be,
not the person you’ve become because of sin. Through
Christ He sees your beauty, your capacity for love and
your potential for glorious living. He sees the glorious
life for which He created you. He sees your creativity,
your sense of humor and your passion. You see, unlike
us, He understands that we did not start out bad, as
sinners. He knows our core making, how He created us,
is good. We are glorious temples created for His indwelling.
Our "temples" are designed for glorious living
and even if they have been turned into old ruins as
the result of sin they are not worthless piles of clay.
He sees who he created, what we were created for, and
what we can become - not what we’ve become because
of sin.
It is for this intimate personal lover relationship,
grand and glorious loving and living, a life of faith
and adventure, that we were created and it is for those
very same things that God rescued us and restores these
glorious ruins.
Live it with Passion
