| LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
If you're
a hard worker and do a good job, you deserve your pay;
we don't call your wages a gift. But if you see that
the job is too big for you that it's something only
God can do, and you trust him to do it—you could never
do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you
worked—well, that trusting-him-to-do-it is what gets
you set right with God, by God; sheer gift. (Romans
4:4-5, the Message)
When was the last time you got involved in a project
with God that was so big that unless God showed up it
was bound to fail?
You see we almost always choose projects or activities
to do that we can accomplish on our own, with are own
abilities and recourses. We hedge our bets. We’ll
take on a project if we know we have the money, the
time, the talent, and the people to get it done. We
want to know that it will succeed before we start, we
don’t want to be associated with failure; we want
control. But that is living without God, that is doing
things without His help and if we are living and working
without God and we are involved in God-less living,
we are involved in Godlessness.
The only project or activity that is truly of God is
one in which if God does not show up to fill in the
gaps, pick up the slack and meet the areas that you
are incapable of meeting, the project will surely fail.
That is a God thing, which is living by faith.
It is by our faith and trust in God, trusting in the
goodness of His heart and knowing and doing His will
by faith - trusting in His Son Jesus - that sets us
right with God. It's not doing things that can be accomplished
without God. The world accomplishes things everyday
with God so what credit do we get for doing the same?
None!
God wants us to trust Him, to get involved with what
He is doing, and what He is doing is bigger than you
could ever do on your own. The question is, are you
going to live by faith, live a God filled life, being
involved with God-sized things, or are you going to
continue to live a Godless life? You see Godlessness
is not a life of sinning, it just living without trusting
God daily.
Live it with Passion
