| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
My counsel
for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead
with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus,
the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him.
You're well constructed upon him. You know your way
around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's
out; quit studying the subject and start living it!
And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. (Colossians
2:6-7 — The
Message)
How many of us are still in school?
Probably not many of us would say yes; we left school
years ago to “make our way in the world”.
But when it comes to our faith most of us are still in
school. We go to church to hear the preacher teach us
God’s word on Sunday morning, and maybe Sunday
and Wednesday nights. We might be attending a Bible study
group, or a men’s or women’s group. The point
is most of our “church” activities revolve
around learning, not doing.
We have in American some of the most knowledgeable people
in the world when it comes to our faith, but we are constantly
telling ourselves we know nothing. If you are a born
again Christian you know Christ and what it means to
you. If you’ve been a Christian for any amount
of time you are well instructed in Christ and the faith.
It is time to start doing the faith, start living what
you have been taught. As Paul said, “School's out;
quit studying the subject and start living it!” We
don’t need more learning; we need more living,
more doing.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
