SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
You realize,
don't you, that you are the temple of God, and God
himself is present in you? No one will get by with
vandalizing God's temple, you can be sure of that.
God's temple is sacred—and you, remember, are
the temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 — The
Message)
Our bodies are the temple of God,
the place where God lives. We all have earthly homes
and when we invite people to come over and come in we
make sure the home is in good shape. We clean, dust and
put things away; we get the house in shape. Well, we
should do the same with our home that God lives in, but
when you look at most people you have to wonder do they
really understand that their body belongs to God, that
it is His home? Remember we have been bought with a price.
We no longer belong to ourselves, we belong to God and
all that we have is on loan to us as caretakers.
How good of a caretaker have you been? Is your home
for God in the kind of condition that it should be, that
is, fit for a king, the King?
There is nothing that we own. All we have is God’s
and is given to us to take care of, including our jobs,
homes, families, and our bodies. Let’s commit to
taking care of our bodies in a manner that is fitting
the King of Kings and Creator of all things.
