| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
How blessed
is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father
of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high
places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down
earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled
on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and
holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt
us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure
he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into
the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand
of his beloved Son. (Ephesians 1:3-6 — The Message)
Why do we strive so hard to “fix” ourselves,
to make ourselves “presentable” to God even
when He says it is His love for us that makes us whole
and holy? Don’t we see, don’t we get it? It
is not up to us; it is already done, completed. We are
holy by His doing, by His love, and there is nothing we
did or can ever do to make this happen. We just need to
accept it, embrace it, and live in it. That is what God
wants us to do, to celebrate His love for us. He doesn’t
want us to go around with a woeful countenance, feeling
like we are worthless worms. We are not worthless worms.
We are the “focus of His love”, not His wrath.
We are children of the King.
So stop putting yourself down and stop living in the past. Take your past failings,
lay them before God and ask Him to show you how He sees you. Accept and embrace
the truth about how He sees you; you are the focus of His love, His beloved son
or daughter. Know this and “enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving”.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
