| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
All this
energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death
and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of
running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments,
no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not
just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge
of it all, has the final word on everything, at the
center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church,
you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world
is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's
body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills
everything with his presence. (Ephesians 1:20-23 — The Message)
We have no problem seeing and understanding
who Jesus is, where He is and what power has been given
Him by the Father. But, we usually fail to see, grasp and
understand who we are in Christ and what position we have
in Christ as part of His church, His body. Paul lays it
out here, quite plainly, just what power and authority
Jesus has been given. He tells us who and what are subject
to His rule. Then he goes on to point out that we, the
church, are Christ’s body now; He lives in us and
we in Him. Jesus speaks and acts through His church as
long as the church is truly following Him. So we the church
need to be doing what we see Him do and saying what we
hear Him say, and with the same heart of Christ. Love,
understanding and compassion is part of our living in Him.
He lives in us and we live in Him. Since Christ has been
given all authority over all of creation (galaxies, governments,
any and all power) then we have also been give that power
as God’s adopted sons and daughters . We have the
ability to see what God is doing and to hear Him speaking.
We then can go and speak and do the same with confidence.
For instance, if God is moving and doing something in the
lives of people at a camp and a storm is coming that is
going to distract from what God is doing and even interrupt
and end it we can speak to that storm and hold it off.
Jesus did and we are in Him and as such we have that power.
Now you may be saying, come on Pete, you’ve got to be kidding me. Really,
was Jesus a liar then? It was He who said that if we had but the faith the size
of a mustard seed that we could say to a mountain be moved and it would obey.
It was Jesus who said that we would do all that He had done and more. The only
thing that keeps us from moving and living in this truth is a lie from the enemy
that we choose to believe. You may say you have tried this and it did not work.
Do you mean God’s will did not happen or that you did not get your way?
Jesus was also clear that we need to pray and ask these things in accordance
with the will of the Father, not out of selfishness. When we ask in accordance
with His will it will happen, if we have faith and a true understanding of who
we are in Christ.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
Pete Reinbold
