| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
God raised
us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly
realms in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6 — New
International Version)
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he
made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them
by the cross. (Colossians 2:15 — New International
Version)
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
in order that you may know the hope to which he has
called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance
in the saints, and his incomparably great power for
us who believe. That power is like the working of his
mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he
raised him from the dead and seated him at his right
hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and
authority, power and dominion, and every title that
can be given, not only in the present age but also
in the one to come. (Ephesians 1:18-21 — New International Version)
Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God
authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out
and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this
way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold
name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them
in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be
with you as you do this, day after day after day, right
up to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20 — The
Message )
One issue that comes up when talking
about addressing the activities of our enemy is the lack
of instruction in the letters of Paul on how to do it and
how to prepare. But there is something we must not forget.
When Jesus died, rose again and ascended into heaven to
take His rightful place at the right hand of the Father,
Satan became a defeated foe. All power and claim he had
to this world and us was made null and void. Jesus does
not need to give us “special” instructions,
like He did when He was here. He has already given us those
instructions in Matthew 28:18. After the cross Satan has
no power and we have all power through Christ and He has
asked us and instructed us to use it.
When we accept the work Jesus has done on our behalf through
His death, resurrection and ascension, He comes and lives
in us. We are in Him; we are seated with Him, spiritually
speaking, in Heaven. All power that has been given to Him
had also been given to us. There is no need for a special
event to empower us to deal with our enemy. We already
have the power and we just need to use it.
So many times we pray for victory over a struggle we are having. We pray for
the power to overcome it, not realizing that we have the power and that we already
have the victory. We just need to believe it, walk in it, and use and exercise
the authority power we have. God has done all that He can do. He has given us
everything we need. We are seated with Him, in Christ. We have been empowered
by the same spirit that empowered Jesus, we are sons and daughters of the King,
and our word carries the weight of the King. Whatever we bind or loose with be
bound of loosened. These are all things that have happened, not that are going
to happen. They are past tense. It is now up to us; we must resist the devil,
renounce participation in his schemes, confess our sins, and forgive those who
have offended us.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
