| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
Then God
said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,
and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the
birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the
earth, and over all the creatures that move along the
ground." (Genesis 1:26 — New
International Version)
Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the
prince of this world will be driven out. (John 12:31 — New
International Version)
I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince
of this world is coming. He has no hold on me. (John
14:30 — New International Version)
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness
and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.
(Colossians 1:13 — New International Version)
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await
a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians
3:20 — New International
Version)
We live in a foreign land. We are not
of this world. This is not how it was supposed to be. When
God created the Earth and all that was in it and then created
us, we were to rule over all of His masterful, wonderful
creation. It was given to us to rule and maintain on God’s
behalf. But man chose a different path, one that resulted
in giving the rule and ownership of this world over to
the enemy. When Jesus was being tempted by Satan He was
told, “I will give you all of the kingdoms of the
world and their glory to you if you will bow down and worship
me, for they have been handed over to me and I can give
it to who ever I wish.” (Luke 4-6) This was no idle
offer. Satan had been given the earth; it was the prize
when man chose to distrust God and follow a lie. Jesus
himself refers to Satan as the “prince of this world”.
As a result we live in a foreign land, a land occupied by the enemy. As long
as we are in this earth we are still on Satan’s turf. He will try to rule
and influence us by deceiving us into believing that we still belong to him,
that we are still under his rule. That is why we so desperately need the full
armor of God. If we fail to stand strong we can and will be influenced by the
enemy. Understand, he does not regain ownership of us; we are still Citizens
of Heaven, of God’s Kingdom. It is just like the French during WW11. They
were still French, not German. Their citizenship was not in question, but they
lived in an enemy occupied land.
We ultimately have the power and victory, but we must fight and resist (resist
the devil and he will flee from you). Just remember, things here will look foreign
and things will not be as they should be yet. Not until Jesus returns. So until
that day comes stand strong, resist the enemy and take ground for the Kingdom.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
