LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
God spoke to Moses: "Tell the Israelites to turn around and make camp at Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. Camp on the shore of the sea opposite Baal Zephon. "Pharaoh will think, 'The Israelites are lost; they're confused. The wilderness has closed in on them.' Then I'll make Pharaoh's heart stubborn again and he'll chase after them. And I'll use Pharaoh and his army to put my Glory on display. Then the Egyptians will realize that I am God." (Exodus 14:1-4 — The Message)

Look at what was going on here. God was pinning the Israelites in. They were setting up camp in an area with only one way out, the way they came in. There was the Red Sea in back of them and mountains to their left and right. If not for God intervening they would surely be wiped out by Pharaoh and his army. But that was God’s plan, to pin the Israelites in just for the purpose of showing His power to the Egyptians. And we all know the rest of the story. God parted the Red Sea and the Israelites passed through fine and the Egyptian army was defeated by drowning.

Do you every find yourself in a hard place, a place that feels like there is no way out, pinned in? Maybe sometimes God puts us there just like He did the Israelites, to show someone, even us, His power that they (and we) may know that He is God. Every thing we go through has a purpose. We may not see it the time, but it is there. So next time you find yourself pinned in look to God, give Him praise for what He is doing and is about to do, and watch Him display His glory and power.

Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,

Pete Reinbold
