LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight, as it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness". (1 Corinthians 3:18-19 — NIV)

Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. (Romans 1:22 — NIV)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 — NIV)

"For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16 — NIV)

We deceive ourselves when we think we are wise in this age.

We have heard the saying that “knowledge is power”. Well, that is only partially true. The wise application of knowledge is power and true wisdom comes only from God. Just because you know something or can do something does make it right or wise to do it. It is this attitude, “knowledge is power” and that it is up to science to decide whether it is right or wrong to proceed, that has gotten man in the messed up state he finds himself in today. It is the height of intellectual arrogance to assume wisdom without the revelation of God. We try and solve spiritual problems, things caused by the attack of the enemy and things brought on by our own choices, by trying to match wits with the enemy. We forget that although we are a great and glorious creation of God, were created a little lower than the angels and that our enemy was once an angel. On our own we cannot hope to prevail. It is only through the power and authority of Christ, which has been given to us by the grace of God the Father that we can resist the enemy and have victory over him. The wisdom of this age will never help us win our fight against our enemy. In fact, it may aid in our defeat. Only when we trust the Lord and depend on Him, learn His ways, seek Him and allow Him to fill our hearts and minds with His wisdom will we be victorious.

Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,

Pete Reinbold
