LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
It’s who you are and the way you live that counts before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before Him in their worship. God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration. (John 4:23-24 — The Message)

What do you think touches God’s heart more, the endless singing of believers on any given weekend rendering a chorus of “Shout to the Lord” or “Your Love Oh Lord” or a missionary in some Third world country sacrificially serving and meeting the needs of others in hopes of being able to tell them why they do it? In truth, it is both. Worship is more than a song or a prayer. Worship is a way of life; it is anything that we do, out of a response to God for who He is and what He has done, that points us and others to Him or brings Him glory.

Our worship should and must be real; it must be a response to who God is and for what He has done for us. Our worship is our offering of our love for God. It is all about Him, it’s not about us. Even if we have had a tough week we can still praise God because He is God. We can still praise Him because He loves us. Our worship needs to be unrestrained. How can we worship out of spontaneity if we hold back how we really feel, trying to make our worship “dignified”. As King David said to his wife, who was chastising him for the way he behaved when the ark of God came into Jerusalem, “woman I will become more undignified than this when if comes to my worship of my God”.

Be real in your worship. Shout, jump, clap your hands, dance, kneel, lay down flat on your face if you want to, do what is in your heart in your response to who God is and what He has done for you. Worship Him in spirit and truth.

Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
