| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
Delight
yourself in the LORD; and he will give you the desires
of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 — NIV)
We have taught that sin was any thought
or act that was motivated out of a desire to bring pleasure
to ourselves and that living the Christian life was all
about serving God and others first and dying to your selfish
desires and ways. Now this does not mean we are to live
a pleasure-less life. On the contrary, Jesus said that
He came to bring life and bring it more abundantly.
When we live our lives the way God wants us to live, focused
on Him and others, we will feel pleasure from how that
lifestyle affects the lives of those around us. The desires
that God puts on your heart are not wrong; He gave you
a new pure heart when you accepted His work on the cross.
But if you live for the purpose of getting pleasure, getting
all you can get for yourself on your own by your own power,
is wrong. As we focus on God and others and delight ourselves
in Him, God will, out of His love and grace for us, give
us the true desires of our heart.
There is no greater pleasure that can be had then to have
the God who created everything, who knows you best, who
loves you the most, meet and grant your hearts deepest
desires.
Live for Him, press in towards Him, get close to Him, get
to know Him like you have never known Him before, and He
will give you the desires of your heart.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
