| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
That famous
promise God gave Abraham—that he and his children
would possess the earth—was not given because of something
Abraham did or would do. It was based on God's decision
to put everything together for him, which Abraham then
entered when he believed. (Romans 4:13 — The Message)
We have taught that sin was any thought
or act that was motivated out of a desire to bring pleasure
to ourselves and that living the Christian life was all
about serving God and others first and dying to your selfish
desires and ways. Now this does not mean we are to live
a pleasure-less life. On the contrary, Jesus said that
He came to bring life and bring it more abundantly.
God has a plan for your life. He has always had a plan
for your life. Before you were born He had his eye on you
and has had a plan for your life. Before the earth was
made He knew you and He made you the object of His affection
and has had a plan for you. Whether or not you ever see
and/or live that plan is not based on your earning it.
It’s based on you living by faith, accepting what
God has for you, entering into it, and embracing it. You
do not have to do a certain thing, go to a certain kind
of school, live the life of a monk or anything else that
the world may think is “spiritual”. You just
have to believe God and His love for you.
What is that plan for your life? Only God knows, but He
wants you to know it and live it, too. God has promised
that He has a plan for you, you were created just for that
plan, and only you can fulfill that plan by following,
believing and embracing God. As you stop telling yourself
that you are not good enough, that you don’t deserve
it (you don’t that’s why it’s called
gift) and accept that God wants to have you in His life
and has a place for you in His big story you will start
to live it.
Stop trying to make things hard when God has made them
simple. He made you. He did it and He has a plan. Just
accept those truths and move on with the glorious life
He has for you.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
