| LIVING THE
SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION |
Anyone who
claims to live in God's light and hates a brother or
sister is still in the dark. It's the person who loves
brother and sister who dwells in God's light and doesn't
block the light from others. (1 John 2:9-10 — The Message)
Two questions: who is our brother or
sister and how do we show them love?
Who is our brother or sister? It is anyone that we meet.
We are all God’s creation and therefore brothers
and sisters. Everyone you meet is someone Jesus died for.
How can it be that we would not consider someone that Jesus
considered worth His life not worthy of our love? Anyone
you meet is your brother or sister and is worthy of your
love.
How are we to love them or show love to them? How does
God love you and show His love to you? Does He criticize
or berate you when you mess up or does He offer grace,
compassion and understanding? When you have a need does
He leave you stranded or does He meet that need? Did Jesus
offer to heal those who needed and wanted healing or did
He just leave them in their brokenness?
Showing love to someone can be as simple as meeting a need.
Helping your neighbor with yard work, buying a meal for
someone who is hungry, offering an ear to listen to their
story, and praying for them are all ways of doing this.
Think of the ways God shows you that He loves you and do
the same; after we are to be imitators of Christ.
Live intentionally, purposely, free and with passion,
