Opening Thoughts:
Greetings everyone and welcome to all our new subscribers.
Work. Love it, hate it. When you need it you often can’t
find it; when you have it you want to take a vacation.
Do you ever feel that way?
I believe God works in, with and through us. Romans 8:28 makes the
bold statement that God works for the good in all things for those who
love him and are called to his purpose. Can’t we apply this to
the work environment? In this issue our feature article, Onward
Christian Worker, examines our attitudes toward work.

Onward

All too often we define who we are
by what our job is. Ask anybody what they “do” for
a living and they will typically respond by telling you
what their job is. Even if the person is retired they
will go on about what they used to do; their previous
work occupation.
The attitude we bring to work is something worth reviewing. The days when we
wish we were anyplace but at work are valuable opportunities to consider just
what we are living for.
The best jobs, as we’ve often heard, are the ones where we do what we love.
It doesn’t even seem like work because it is enjoyable. Gee, it sure would
be great if we could all find such employment instead of just enduring the daily
grind.

about Jesus' suffering, death and resurrection, opens February 25. It's
possible this will be the most publicized, controversial and viewed film
ever. I've seen a couple of different trailers and it is quite powerful.
I've also heard from others who have seen advance screenings.
This is going to be an important film to see. Living the Solution will
provide news, information and a review as things develop.

You Can Do It
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move
from here to there," and is will move. Nothing will
be impossible for you (Matt 17:20).
Some people let other people tell them
what they are capable of doing.. They settle for less
in their lives because a parent told them they would never
amount to anything. Other people spend their whole lives
chasing their parents' dreams, rather then finding out
what God wants them to do.
If you know God, you are not limited by what other people
say you can and can't do. You are not bound by what you
think your gifts and abilities are. With God in your
life, you have no limitations. You can do anything God
calls you to do. If you feel like He is telling you to
do something too huge or impossible, do not worry. You
will not have to do it on your own. God will be with
you every step of the way. So do not be afraid to ask
God for a huge plan for your life. Through Him, all things
are possible.
